Spring Festival Couplets Talk 2017

About this event

Spring Festive couplets are one of Chinese’s most poetic wishes and greetings for the new year. The tradition of writing couplets has slowly been replaced by the commercially created couplets. Instead of using mass produced couplets, you can try creating your very own couplets as gifts for family and friends. Understand the origins and different types of Spring Festival couplets, the basics of couplet writing and techniques at this talk organised by General Society for Chinese Classical Poetry and explore your creativity writing skills.

This event is conducted in Mandarin.
